Pain & Performance Assessment
Select a body area and goal to get a science-backed plan. We address root causes using OMT-informed manual therapy, progressive loading, and movement-pattern retraining.
1) Select an area
Tip: tap the body or use the quick pills.
2) What’s your goal?
Recommended Approach
- Pain relief: minimum of 5 sessions (often sooner) focused on symptom reduction and calming sensitised tissues.
- Rehabilitation: typically 6–12 weeks of progressive loading, technique coaching, and tissue capacity building.
- Movement patterns: we assess and retrain patterns (e.g., hip-hinge, scapular control, knee alignment) to reduce reinjury risk.
- Body Mechanics ethos: we address root causes — not short-term fixes.
Our Methods — Explained
- Sports Massage — Deep/soft tissue techniques to reduce tension, improve circulation, and aid recovery.
- Joint Mobilisation — Graded, controlled passive movements to reduce stiffness and restore range.
- Joint Manipulation (HVLA) — A precise, quick, low-amplitude thrust to restore joint movement and influence neuromuscular control.
- Medical Acupuncture (Dry Needling) — Fine needles into trigger points/pain-sensitive structures to reduce pain and normalise muscle tone.
- Electro-Acupuncture — Low-level electrical stimulation via needles to enhance analgesia and circulation.
- Dry Cupping — Negative pressure cups to promote blood flow and reduce fascial restrictions.
- Injury Rehabilitation — Structured progression of exercise, manual therapy, and education to restore capacity and resilience.
