From Premiership Rugby to Everyday Recovery - Meet Jack Criddle, Senior Sports Therapist at Body Mechanics

At Body Mechanics, our mission is simple: to help people move better, feel better, and live healthier, longer, and more fulfilling lives. That mission is only possible because of the exceptional skill, passion, and dedication of our team - and Senior Sports Therapist Jack Criddle embodies all of that and more.

With over seven years of hands-on experience in diagnosing and treating injuries, creating tailored rehabilitation plans, and guiding clients through injury prevention, Jack has worked with everyone from elite-level athletes to people simply wanting to move more comfortably in their daily lives. After studying Sports Therapy at university, he built a career grounded in both technical expertise and a genuine commitment to helping people achieve their movement goals.

A Realistic and Honest Approach

Jack is known for his down-to-earth, client-first style. He doesn’t believe in quick fixes or one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, he takes the time to understand each client’s goals and builds a plan around their lifestyle and environment - making progress both achievable and sustainable. This honesty builds trust, which Jack sees as the foundation for long-term success in recovery and performance.

Whether he’s helping a Premiership rugby player return to competition or supporting someone recovering from a desk-related injury, Jack’s greatest reward is seeing people improve not just physically, but in confidence and enjoyment of movement.

Always There for Clients

Clients value Jack’s availability and willingness to go the extra mile. Whether it’s finding a last-minute slot, offering advice outside of sessions, or making sure every appointment is engaging, Jack ensures people feel supported at every stage of their recovery. His ability to “talk for England” also means no session is ever dull!

Living the Lifestyle

Away from the clinic, Jack keeps active through training and football - giving him first-hand insight into performance, recovery, and the challenges clients face. And if you ever need an icebreaker, ask him about The US Office. He’s watched it from start to finish more than 100 times.

Why Jack Chose Body Mechanics

When asked why he joined Body Mechanics, Jack points to the community:

“Here, no one feels or acts more important than anyone else - whether it’s staff or members. It’s a place where everyone supports each other, and that’s something special.”

For Jack, movement with purpose means helping people perform the activities they love with confidence, strength, and without limits.
